"At the begining, the wind-up Automita were efficiant and smart... never making mistakes and always doing the job they were programed to do. Originating from Japanese airship 'Karakuri', the Automita could get into small places in airship gaskets that were formerly too hot or small for a child labourer's hands.
-The airship engineers were delighted when the Automita learned how to wind one another's keys to keep themselves running; it was yet another step that could be left out of the airship engineers' daily operations. Then, though, the Automita also found that they could also re-program the 'Homunculus Engines' in their heads...

anything with gears and rivets is automatically cool... but... how did you manage to rivet it from the inside? Unless you used something other than pop rivets, wouldn't the tube-ish part normally be on the inside?

regardless, this is awesome. Now you just need to make a whole bunch
